The current legislation concerning the right of access to administrative documents (L.241/1990 and subsequent amendments) and to environmental information (Legislative Decree no. 195/2005), implementing the principle of transparency, guarantees the freedom of access to documents held by the Public Administration concerned, or in the case of environmental information "to any natural or legal person who requests it."

The access to the acts is free of charge and must be carried out at the premises of the Public Administration holder of the same, by prior arrangement with the competent offices.

The extraction of copy of records is subject to the payment of fees for the issue and extracting copy, pursuant to art. 25 of Law 241/1990, and in the manner determined by the individual administrations. The cost for the access to the records held by this Administration are regulated by the Ministerial Decree 121 of 28 June 2012.
