Environmental Assessments and Authorizations: SEA - EIA - IPPC Permit

From 20 to 23 April 2015 will be held in Florence the 35th Annual Meeting of the International Association for Impact Assessment IAIA15 "Impact Assessment in the Digital Era".

The Conference aims to advance a multidisciplinary discussion on the challenges and opportunities associated with the use of new digital technologies for promoting sustainability.

Smart cities and digital technologies can be an opportunity for ecosystems and social resilience, as well as big data strategies and online social participation which can improve social awareness about the effects of the choices to be made for a sustainable future.

Delegates from more than 80 nations around the world, World Bank, European Investment BanK, European Commission, international, national and regional Institutions, Aboriginal organizations and Corporate and industry leaders will discuss about new strategies and operational governance instruments.

The D.G. for the Environmental Assessments and Authorizations of the Ministry of Environment will attend the Conference within the Session “30 Years of environmental impact assessment of projects: challenges in transposing the revised EIA Directive” dedicated to the main challenges in transposing the new EIA directive (2014/52/EU), outlining how different EU Member States, among which Italy,(“The Italian experience towards new EIA directive”) are addressing such challenges.
