Transboundary consultations - Landfill for inert waste in the municipality of Stabio (Cantone Ticino)

On 19th of April 2016, Italy received notification from the Department of the Land of the Republic and Cantone Ticino asking possible interest in participating to the EIA procedure in a transboundary context of the project “Landfill for inert waste in the municipality of Stabio (Cantone Ticino, Swizerland)", according to the provisions of Espoo Convention.
On 28th of April 2016, Italy notified to the Swiss Authorities its interest in participating to the transboundary consultations.
Cantone Ticino asked to receive Italian comments by 27th of June 2016.
Based on the documentation submitted by the Department of the Land of the Republic and Cantone Ticino, published on the EIA-SEA Portal, anyone can submit comments the Ministry of the Environment by 12 June 2016:
- in writing to the Ministry of the Environment - Directorate General for Environmental Assessments and Permits - Division II Environmental Assessment Systems, Via Cristoforo Colombo 44, 00147 Rome;
- electronically, by certified email to DGSalvaguardia.Ambientale@PEC.minambiente.it.
The Ministry of the Environment will collect all comments received within the 12 June 2016, including its own, and forward them to the competent Swiss authority.
