Work: Reservoir on the stream Sessera

Project: Remake of the reservoir on the stream Sessera replacing the existing one, to overcome the recurrent water crises, improve water efficiency of existing reservoirs on Ravasanella and Ostola streams, ensuring the environmental enhancement of the area

Description: The project involves the construction of a new reservoir on the stream Sessera with a capacity of 12,000,000 m3 for drinking water, irrigation and hydropower. The new reservoir will flood the existing one in Mischie and will extend for 44 hectares in the municipalities of Trivero, Vallanzengo, Mosso and Camandona in the province of Biella. Main planned works: the new concrete dam on the Stream Sessera 94.4 m high, the primary adduction pipe 27.8 km long, the 2 new hydroelectric power plants for the exploitation of irrigation flow.
