On 5 April 2017 the Ministry of the Environment and Nature Protection of the Croatia Republic informed Italy that “Transport Development Strategy of the Republic of Croatia (2016 - 2030)” was under preparation, asking Italy to notify its interest in participating to the transboundary consultations according to the provisions of Kiev Protocol and to the directive 2001/42/CE.

The Ministry of the Environment - General Directorate for waste and pollution jointly to the Ministry of Economic Development notified the start of the SEA public consultation stage, pursuant to article 14 of Legislative Decree 152/2006 and subsequent amendments, for the National Programme for spent fuel and radioactive waste management.

On 20 April 2017 the Hellenic Republic, in addition to the documentation already submitted on 17 March 2017, sent the Italian version of the non-technical summary of “Program of exploring and exploiting hydrocarbons at the Ionian Sea” for the SEA procedure. Based on the new documentation submitted by the Hellenic Republic the deadline for submitting comments on the Program is the 5 May 2017.

Transboundary consultations - Program of exploring and exploiting hydrocarbons at the Ionian Sea
On 17 March 2017 the Ministry of environment and energy of the Hellenic Republic asked Italy to notify its interest in participating to the transboundary consultations on the “Program of exploring and exploiting hydrocarbons at the Ionian Sea” according to the provisions of Kiev Protocol and to the directive 2001/42/CE.

#SAA2017 Environmental assessments: Stay informed and get involved - "Citizen Area"
The Directorate-General for the Environmental Assessments and Authorizations of the Ministry of the Environment joined the open government week # SAA2017, the initiative sponsored by the Department for Public Administration, thruoug the launch of the new Citizen Area section of the SEA-EIA portal scheduled on the 10th March 2017.

The Directorate-General for the Environmental Assessments and Authorizations of the Ministry of the Environment joined the Open Government Week #SAA2017,sponsored by the Department for Public Administration, through the publication, scheduled on the 10th March 2017, of the guidelines for the Non technical Summary of the Environmental Impact Study (EIA) and for the Non technical Summary of the Environmental Report (SEA).
