As part of the activities under the 2007-2013 National Operational Programme "Governance and System Actions", the Directorate-General for Environmental Assessment of the Ministry of the Environment has organized a workshop on the quality of the documents produced as part of the environmental assessment procedures, held in Naples on May 12.

According to the program, the event has involved, among others, the Directorate-General Environment of the European Commission, the Netherlands Commission for Environmental Assessment, the Directorate-General responsible for Environmental Assessment of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Regions and local authorities, as well as some developers of plans and projects.

The workshop, organized in four technical sessions is designed to make the point, at European, national, regional, and local levels on the theme of "quality" of environmental assessments declined in the major key aspects of the processes of SEA and EIA: the quality of environmental studies, the quality and availability of data for analysis and environmental assessments, the quality of the plans and projects, methods and tools for environmental assessments. The presentations of the interventions are listed below.
