The proposal for the Regulation, object of consultation, has been prepared in compliance with the provisions of Article 8 of Decree-Law No. 133 of 12 September 2014, converted into a Law, after amendment, by Law No. 164 of 11 November 2014, providing for the adoption of a Decree of the President of the Republic establishing simplified rules for the management of excavated earth and rocks.

Comparative analysis of the EIA governance in EU
The sector study regarding the comparative analysis of the governance of environmental impact assessment processes in the EU countries with special reference to France, Germany, England and Spain, drawn up by the Italian Ministry of the Environment, within the framework of the National Plan of Governance and Action (PON GAS 2007-2013 Action 7 B), is now available in English.

Workshop - "SEA: a governance tool to address planning of natural protected areas" 28.10.2015
Within the National Operational Programme for Governance and System Actions (ESF) 2007-2013 the Ministry of the Environment, is currently co- organizing with the General Directorate for the Protection of Nature and Sea the workshop "SEA: a governance tool to address planning of natural protected areas" to be held at the MoE’s Auditorium on 28 October 2015.

Workshop “Assessing the SEA: the effectiveness of the process on the plan choices” 14.10.2015
Within the National Operational Programme for Governance and System Actions (ESF) 2007-2013 – Action 7b – "Actions supporting the Strategic Environmental Assessment processes and the Environment Impact Assessment procedures", the Directorate for Environmental Assessments and Authorizations of the Ministry of the Environment is currently organizing the workshop "Assessing the SEA: the effectiveness of the process on the plan choices", to be held on the 14th of October at the MoE’s Auditorium

Workshop “Information and transparency in Environmental Assessments” 30.9.2015
Within the activities of the 2007-2013 National Operational Programme "Governance and System Actions", the Directorate General for Environmental Assessments and Authorizations of the Ministry of the Environment has scheduled a workshop on the topics of information and transparency in SEA and EIA processes, that will take place in Rome (Auditoriom of the MoE) on the 30th of September.

Transposition of the new EIA directive 2014/52/EU: published the European Delegation Law 2014
The Law 9 July 2015 no. 114 "Delegation to the Government for the transposition of the European directived and implementation of other acts of the European Union - European Delegation Law 2014" has been published on the Official Journal of the Italian Republic no. 176 of 31 July 2015.

Available on line the proceedings of the 35th Annual Meeting of the International Association for Impact Assessment - IAIA15 "Impact Assessment in the Digital Era", held in Florence last April involving about 980 delegates from 87 nations around the world.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic has notified to the Embassy of the Swiss Confederation and the Republic of France the start of the the " Management Plan of the Hydrographic district of the River Po. Update 2015" SEA procedure pursuant to the Protocol on Strategic Environmental Assessment to the Espoo Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context.
